Risk

Sometimes as I prepare what I want to share with you on my blog, I think of something I believe to be worthwhile but I also realize it is not new and some of you might very well have heard it before; especially with the internet flooding us with good stories etc.  So, I am going to take a risk and send this anyway.  If you've heard it before, let it refresh your memory - and, as they used to say about TV summer reruns, "If you haven't seen it, it's new to you."  I'm willing to take a risk to talk to you about risk.

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out for another is to risk involvement.

To expose feelings is to risk exposing our true self.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd is to risk ridicule.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.

To live is to risk dying.

To hope is to risk despair.

To try at all is to risk failure.

But risk we must.  Because the greatest hazasrd in life is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing …. is nothing.

Let us risk.

Let us do everything, have everything, be everyhthing we possibly can.
