The Dash

The poem “The Dash” has been removed from my blog upon being informed by the author, Linda Ellis, that it is copyrighted and I did not have permission to use her work. If I had known I would have given her credit for this fine poem.  You can find it on line if you’re interested.

But wait there's more.                                                                                        From “The Martian Chronicles” by Ray Bradbury, 1950.

Watch life, observe nature and cooperate with it – making common cause with the process of existence.

Live life for itself and derive pleasure from the gift of your being.

Life is its own answer. Accept it and enjoy it gave my day. Live as well as possible. Expect no more. Destroy nothing, leave unsoiled and untouched all that is beautiful.

Hold all that lives in reference; for life is given by the sovereign of our universe – given as a gift to be savored, to be luxurated in, but to be respected.
